About Aleah

IMG_4395.JPG

Aleah Romer (she/her) is a queer, neurodivergent author living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

By day, Aleah works at Portland State University, in the Sponsored Projects Administration, where she helps the people who are making exciting discoveries about the world.

At night (or early in the mornings, or most weekends) after a new cup of double bergamot Earl Grey tea, the music changes and Aleah focuses on bringing her imagination to life. Occasionally she dips into memoir, but her true passion is fiction.

Aleah also is pursuing her MFA from the Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. The low-residency program has not only improved her writing skills and abilities, but has bolstered her confidence and provided her with the backbone to actually submit her work. If you head over to the publications page you’ll find her most recent successes listed.
